DEENA

Deena's love of yoga began over 8 years ago when she found that it provided peace and calm in the midst of a hectic life.  She enjoyed asana practice for many years until a knee injury forced her to adapt her yoga practice.  This adaptation led her to the more spiritual aspects of yoga such pranayama, meditation, deep relaxation, chanting, and yogic philosophy.  Her daily practice and life now include all aspects of yoga. 

She is certified by the Integral Yoga Institue Princeton, currently taking an additional 200 hour teacher certification course in Hatha, and is registered with the Yoga Alliance. Deena teaches Dynamic Hatha and Yoga for Woman.  

ARJUNA

Arjuna started practicing yoga 4 years ago.  As a lifelong athlete-he is a 3 time state champion in amateur boxing and currently plays baseball in the Men's Senior Baseball League-he found that yoga helped him gain focus, flexibility and energy in his sports.  His daily practice includes chanting, pranayama and meditation followed by asanas.

Arjuna was certified by Integral Yoga Institute Princeton at the 200 level and is registered with the Yoga Alliance.  He teaches the nighttime Gentle Yoga and Yoga and Meditation classes at One World Yoga studio.  He is a gentle and soft-spoken teacher, a trait his students love.  

VALERIE

Valerie found yoga at the suggestion of her physician that it might help lower her borderline high blood pressure.  She fell in love with the practice from the first time she stepped on the mat.  The asanas, pranayama, meditations and philosophy quickly became her journey and passion.  Her own personal practice remains strong and regular so that she may continue to share the inspiration yoga has brought into her life.

Valerie received her 200 hour yoga teacher certification in 2008 and completed her 500 hour training at One Yoga Center in 2009.  She is a Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance at the 500 level.  She has attended workshops with Seane Corn, Shiva Rea, and completed Level one of Baron Baptiste's Power Vinyasa Yoga Boot Camp.  Valerie is certified to teach Hatha, gentle, Kids/Teens, pre-natal and Vinyasa as well as pranayama and meditation.

JOANNE

Joanne found herself enduring more and more pain from movements that she had performed all of her life.  Her doctor's answer was, "Then don't do that!", but she believed that she was still way too young to have restricted movement.  So Joanne turned to yoga, where she discovered  that there were almost no movements that weren't somehow part of a yoga posture.  She now feels like her body is much younger than it was ten years ago.

Joanne received her yoga teacher certification from Inner Light Yoga Center in June 2007 and her Lakshmi Voelker Chair Yoga certification in October 2007.  She often tells her students when they can't achieve a position that they are striving for that maybe they just aren't old enough yet!  Joann is also  certified as a Health Counselor and Thai Yoga practitioner.  To book your health counseling or Thai yoga session, call her at 732 718-8581.
